Back in my younger days, I would scour the TV Guide for any details of when Chuck was going to appear on a television program. We did not own a VCR so I would instead hold up my cassette recorder to the TV speaker and record the audio. I would beg my family to be quiet while I was taping so they would not be heard in the background.
Below are the recordings I still have in my collection from back then.

Here is Chuck on the Larry King Show from 1982. Near the end he performs The Star Spangled Banner.
Here is Chuck performing with Manhattan Transfer on the Grammy awards in 1981. There is a YouTube video of this performance but it starts with Birdland. My audio recording has the entire performance beginning with Give It All You Got.
Chuck performed a medley of Feels So Good and Land Of Make Believe with Dionne Warwick on the show Solid Gold around 1980 or 1981.
In 1981 Chuck was featured on a television show called "Thirty Minutes" on CBS. It showed him working with a group of high school kids who were rehearsing for one weekend to perform his music with him. He auditioned them and rehearsed them and then ultimately performed with them. Too bad I only have the audio as I would love to be able to watch it again. Anyway, the audio of that broadcast is below.

Here is a 1981 performance of Give It All You Got on The Tonight Show.
This is an interview on the show Good Morning America from around 1983.
Below is a rare recording of Lake Placid Fanfare as performed by Chuck at the closing ceremonies of the 1981 Winter Olympics. Notice the 2nd half of the fanfare is the same melody as his song Love Note as it appears on the album Love Notes.
