This is a great question
To me it had to be the first time I heard Chuck in 1972, I believe. I was working at a Christian camp and our Music director wanted me to hear "Friends and Love". I was just blown away with the whole album. I'd never heard anything like this before. Right after the F&L suite I was about to call out every adjective I could think of when the Music director said "Wait, there's an Encore number". It was side four of the double album. It began with the 3/4 riff in the background just before the Finale. You hear Don say "Yeah"and then Chuck does what I believe is an impromptu Flugelhorn Solo. It was PURE LOVE and MAGIC coming from the Horn. Then after the Big Ending as Don is singing "Feel Love", he begins to 'Scat-Sing'. Again I believe that also was impromtou. Unfortunately the Encore only exist on the Double Album. It was a Unique Moment and I get 'Goosebumps' whenever I think of it. Great question... this has been a recurring topic since Leatherlips started this site nearly 5 years ago. I think any similarity to the Alf theme song is coincidental.

You're not alone... Feels So Good has not been associated with a TV theme show, but people regularly mistake it for a show theme song... my theory is because it's such a memorable melody that immediately connects with the listener on a nostalgic level.

I bought this song on iTunes to hear Chuck.

He plays nicely, but sadly not for very long at all. Corey Allen (who is also the album producer) seems to do all the solo work on piano.
