When I sing songs that touch my feelings, I
relive those moments of happiness, struggle, pain and hope that
have been so important to my life. For this album, I have
chosen songs that reflect many of the feelings I've had this
last year, feelings which have been a real part of my growing
and my realization of the need to be the person that I am.
I hope that your feelings are touched as you listen to "The Need
To Be". There's been "no question" in my mind
that the music accompanying me has captured and enhanced the
feeling of the songs I sing. It has been so because of my
good fortune to have performed with Gerry, Joe, Chip and Chuck,
who is as sensitive and warm as he is an indescribably creative
musician and a friend who left room enough for me to grow.
